Established in 1963, the ODI fellowship scheme matches early career economists with government placements around the world.

Annual leave and additional leave allowances*
25 days of annual leave, plus 8 public holidays* (pro rata for part-time).
In addition to our standard annual leave allowances, we offer three days' paid leave for the office closure during the Christmas and New Year period.
We support parents and families with maternity, paternity, adoption and shared paternal leave and pay.
Flexible working
Depending on your role and location, start and finish times can be agreed between employee and manager around core hours. When possible, we also offer part time working and other flexible arrangements.
Remote working
Our flexible working policy allows our staff the choice to decide to work from home 80% of their week, with the other 20% of their week being office-based subject to role requirements.*
Study Leave
We will support professional development through the provision of paid study leave for eligible employees after a qualifying period.
Sick pay*
ODI offers full-pay sick leave after a qualifying period.

Interest-free annual season ticket loans for public transport are available once any period of probation is complete.

Staff events and opportunities
We have events and opportunities for staff over the year; these vary according to where you are based. For example, we organise lunchtime talks, visitor talks, team events and celebrations.
Relocation
Assistance is available for employees who have been recruited from outside the UK and had to relocate.
Cycle to work scheme*
The tax-free Cycle to Work Scheme allows eligible staff to save up to 42% on the value of a bike and accessories for commuting. Our London office has secure cycle storage and shower facilities, and occasional cycle safety training and bike maintenance is available to staff free of charge.
